"When Johnny Comes Marching Home" is a Civil War-era folk song about a soldier returning home from battle. You'll learn to play the 6/8 time melody in the key of Em without a capo or re-tuning. Handouts will include tablature for several variations, for a variety of skill levels. Skills covered will include chord-melody arranging, crosspicking, playing an octave higher, and adding dynamics. A video archive of the class is also provided.
