Patriotic Songs

Service Description

A slight divergence from our usual method of studying one song for one hour, this month we are going to celebrate America’s 250th birthday by learning three simple Patriotic songs by ear/rote. Learn to play “Yankee Doodle” (song from the Revolutionary War), “The Caisson Song” (Army theme song), and “The Marines’ Hymn” (Marine Corps theme song). All of these will be in the key of D and noter-friendly (but not required to play with a noter!). Sheet music and play-along videos are provided upon completion of the class.
