Flatpicking & Crosspicking

Service Description

Flatpicking and Crosspicking both involve using a pick to play one string at a time (as opposed to strumming all strings or fingerpicking). Flatpicking is the technique used when the melody is played across all three strings. Crosspicking is used to fill in spaces with patterns across the strings. We will analyze how to hold the pick, how to become more accurate at hitting the intended string, how to improvise with these techniques, and how to increase your speed. This class is geared toward intermediate players, but all are welcome. DAD tuning; capo required.
