David Schnaufer Favorites

Service Description

David Schnaufer (1952-2006) was in the upper echelon of influential dulcimer players. He used that notoriety to help bring the instrument to modern ears-- recording with Cyndi Lauper, EmmyLou Harris, and the Cactus Brothers among others. He was also MY favorite dulcimer player, and I was fortunate to get to take several classes from him in the early 2000's. In this class, I'll share some of my favorite pieces learned from him; along with some of the techniques he often employed in his playing. DAD tuning; capo required. This class is geared toward intermediate players, but in the spirit of David, everyone is always welcome!
