Service Description

Learn to identify all the notes on your chromatic mountain dulcimer, and how they relate to standard notation. While tablature has a place, there are very limited resources for chromatic mountain dulcimer tab. However, standard notation is readily available and allows you to play ANY music you are interested in. This class will focus on reading lead sheets (treble clef melody with chord names) to build chord-melody arrangements. We'll discuss range, keys, and chords to help you understand where the music lays out on the chromatic mountain dulcimer. This class is suitable for students who have never read standard notation and those who don't know how to apply standard notation to the chromatic mountain dulcimer. DAD tuning; capo optional.
