Christmas Carol-Along

Service Description

Special for the holiday season, it's a 2-hour session, come-and-go-style! Stay for the whole time, choose one hour to join, drop in for a few minutes, or turn on the tunes while you "deck your halls". Hour 1 - We'll play familiar Christmas carols in the key of D. I'll share tablature/chord charts on the screen. Suitable for novice + Hour 2 - We'll play some of my obscure favorites. Re-tuning and/or capo may be required for some songs. I'll share tablature/chord charts on the screen. Suitable for intermediate + The focus of Tea and a Tune has been learning tunes by rote -- using your ear, your eyes, and a gentle play-after-me-method. Though I will share simple tablature on the screen for this special holiday event, I will still encourage students to listen for the melodies and chord changes by ear, and to add embellishments. Sheet music for the songs we sing will be provided upon completion of the live class. Classes will be recorded, and all registered participants will have access to the recording for at least 1 year.
