“Bill Cheatum” is a really fun American fiddle tune, popular at bluegrass and old time jams nation-wide. It’s played in the key of A major, so we’ll learn to play it in DAd tuning with a capo on the 4th fret. It’s an excellent study in playing a melody out of chord shapes, using the flatpicking technique. I’ll also show you some fun rhythmic variations. Capo and 6+ fret are required. Sheet music and play-along videos are provided upon completion of the class.
