Friday from 10:00-11:30am CST (11:00-12:30P Eastern, 9:00-10:30A Mountain, 8:00-9:30A Pacific) Each week of the Advent Series will include a couple of Erin Mae’s favorite Advent pieces, an Advent devotion, and a special guest instructor. Handouts will be provided in advance and a video archive will be available to everyone who registers. Class sizes are limited to twenty people to promote an intimate, interactive evening. Arrangements will be accessible for novice-intermediate players. Re-tuning and use of a capo may be required. Advent is a season of the liturgical year observed in many Christian churches as a time of expectant waiting in preparation for both the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas and the return of Jesus at the Second Coming. (Wikipedia) There are many hymns and Appalachian carols associated with this season, but they are not be as well-known as Christmas Carols. December 4th with Steve Eulberg Songs will include “O Come O Come Emmanuel”, “The Friendly Beasts” and “O Sing a Song of Bethlehem/Canticle of the Turning” December 11th with Don Pedi Songs will include “Away In a Manger” and “Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day” December 18th with Nina Zanetti Songs will include “Come, All Ye Shepherds”, “In the Bleak Midwinter” and “Hush My Babe”
